Bantwala: Banwala Taluk Primary Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank is one of the prestigious cooperatives of the taluk. (PLD Bank) Annual General Meeting on Saturday.It was held at Gitanjali Hall, BC Road.

 

Chairman of the bank, Arun Roshan D’Souza presided over the meeting and said that the bank, which was in loss when our management board assumed power in the month of February 2020, with the cooperation of the current directors, all members and staff, the bank has made a profit of Rs 1.05 crore in the year 2023-24. At present the total share capital of the bank which has 11303 members is Rs.178.50 Lakhs in the month of 2024. At the end of 31, there was Rs.37.36 lakh in welfare fund, Rs.146.66 lakh in other fund and Rs.1974.96 lakh. He explained that there will be a deposit.

He said that in the coming days various problems of the farmers will be consulted and efforts will be made to solve them, he said that in the year 2024-25, the target of 15 crores loan allocation will be made and efforts will be made to reach this. President Arun Roshan D’Souja explained that deposits are collected from the members in the Mani branch of the bank and in this scheme loans on gold jewellery and non-agricultural loans are distributed in various schemes according to the demand of farmers.

 

Directors Lingappa Poojary, Vijayananda, Sundara Poojary, Lolakshi, Latha, Chandrahasa Karkera, K. Sanjiva Poojary Bollai, Honnappa Naik were present.

 

At the same time Kasturi, who retired from the service of the bank, was honored and bid farewell.

 

Chandrasekhara Bangera, Vice-Chairman of the Bank welcomed.

 

Bank manager Padmanabha G. He read the last year’s report and presented the accounts. Director Rajesh Kumar thanked.
