Udupi, 11 Feb 2024: A Teacher-Guardian Meeting was held at Shree Vidhyesa Vidyamanya National English Medium School, Heradi-Barkur, on Saturday, 10th February, 2024, at 2.30 pm.
One of the chief guest of this meeting was, Mr B Seetarama Shetty, Retired Principal NJC, in his scholarly address told parents, "Give good education to children, and make children an valuable asset"
This teacher-guardian meeting was presided over by Mr. H. Vitthal Shetty Shedikodlu, Vice President of Baraku Educational Society (Re) Barkuru (BES) and said that the relationship between teacher, student and parents should always be good and cordial, not only to educate, learn and practice but also extract best out from them, to be a launching pad for a rewarding and responsible career and a bright future.
"Give freedom of choice to students in learning, involve them in discussions and deliberations at home, concerning their children……" said Mr. Ashok Kumar Shetty, Secretary, Barkur Educational Society (Re) Barkur. He was focussing on the basic education and career prospects.
"Identifying the right talents should be done, as Parents and Teachers are the architects of children’s future and the School is the ideal place where one can identify hidden talents and strengths, recognise and encourage them..’ advised Mr. Archibald Furtado, Admn Co-ordinator, National Group of Educational Institutions Barkur, ‘which is tactfully band effectively fulfilled in SVVN over the years’ he observed.
Mr. Rajaram Shetty, the Correspondent of the SVVN School, gave information about the "forthcoming 20th anniversary of S. V. V. N. School" and the various educational facilities available in the school and future additions, to be a fitting memorial to this landmark event…
Mr. Raja Gopal Nambiar, President of the School’s Parents Teachers’ Association, expressed his opinion that if the achievements of students and teachers are recognized and encouraged in the school, this should continue.
In the beginning, Principal of the school Mrs. Likhita Kothari gave the introductory speech, out-lining triumphs and constraints during the past academic year and it was the support of parents in a big way kept the Institution marching ahead…..She told, ‘in future too, we need their involvement and cooperation.
Teacher Mrs. Sujatha L. Rai and Mr. Suresh Shetty, Physical Education Teacher welcomed the guests and parents. Teacher Mrs. Aparna Bhat invoked Almighty Lords Blessings in a devotionally sung prayer hymn, and to conclude the event, Mr. Purnesh, teacher proposed vote of thanks.
Mr. Nagendra Achar aptly presented the whole program. All the members of Teaching and Non teaching staff collaborated to make the event truly informative and interesting to participants.
There held a special interactive session with parents, Management and teaching faculty and Class X Parents were involved actively to exchange role and responsibilities of parents and the preparations at the School level.
