Udupi, 24 June 2023: As soon as the new government came to the power, the government cheated the people with increasing prices, said C. T. Ravi, BJP National General Secretary.
Addressing a district level BJP convention at Hotel Kidiyoor here on Thursday, June 22, C. T. Ravi said the Congress government has increased the tariffs of electricity, increased the prices of liquor and planned to increase the registration fees. The all guarantees promised by the Congress during the election have been failed, he said.
By the decision to withdraw the Prohibition of Conversion and Cow Slaughter Act, which was implemented by the BJP government, the Congress government is ruling Aurangzeb and has sent a bad message to the society.
When Siddaramaiah was the Chief Minister, he used to claim that he was the one who gave Annabhagya Yojana. Now they are complaining that the central government is not providing rice. Siddaramaiah is going to hold a fair in the name of Modi. All the guarantees given by the Congress before the elections should be fulfilled. C.T said that the voter will not tolerate if the word is false.
When the Congress-led UPA was in power at the centre, it ran scams in the sky, the earth and the underworld hell. However, during the 9-year rule of the BJP government led by Prime Minister Modi, instead of scams, emphasis was placed on schemes.
He said that the schemes for the poor, women and underprivileged like Ujwala, Mudra, Kisan Samman, PM Awas, Stand Up, Start Up, Ayushman Bharat have been implemented for the needy.
Abrogation of Article 371 which is great cultural revival of the country. 390 new universities, 225 medical colleges, 23 AIIMS, 7 each of IITs, IIMs, 75 airports, implementation of Defense Corridor, Industrial Corridor, Sagar Mala Yojana etc. the country is moving fast on the path of progress under BJP rule.
Under the BJP regime, banks do not give lines to businessmen after looking at the recommendation letter. Instead, they look at business and CIBIL scores and give loans, he said.
Former Legislative Assembly Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri said that although there was no pressure from parents, students or representatives of educational institutions to revise the textbooks in order to give support to left.
The sentiments of crores of people have been hurt by revising the text to please the sectarians. Teach the children the lessons that have been left out even though the Congress government revised the syllabus. Chakravarthy Sulibele and Hegdewar’s articles were abandoned in the text books. He said that even if the ideas of nationalism are removed from the text, it cannot be erased from the public mind.
There is a slanderous propaganda that electricity rates have increased during the BJP period. He said that the KERC rate hike proposal was approved by the Congress government at the end of May.
Conditions which were not there when the guarantee was announced have now been put in place. The Center was giving 10 kg of rice which not mentioned by the Congress and now saying that politics is being done in the name of the poor, he said.
