Udupi/M’Belle: Diabetes and Foot Care Awareness Camp held at St. Lawrence Parish

Udupi/M’Belle, 10 Apr: The Health commission of St. Lawrence Parish, Moodubelle held Diabetes and Foot care Awareness Camp in Parish Hall on Wednesday, 10 April 2019 at 3 pm.
Ms. Shubha G. Mayya, Senior Health Educator in World Diabetes Foundation Project, MAHE, Manipal was the resource person.
Fr. Clement Mascarenhas, Parish priest of St. Lawrence Church, Moodubelle in his message said that usually human beings are more concerned about their face and neglect the other parts of their bodies, especially legs. Diabetes though affects the entire body, its impact on feet cannot be ignored.
Ms. Subha G. Mayya, in her presentation highlighted the symptoms of diabetes and care to be taken by such people regarding their diet, exercise and medication.
Mrs. Jyothi D’Souza welcomed the guests, Mrs. Lavina Noronha introduced Ms. Shubha G. Mayya and Mrs. Precilla Alva-Convener of Health Commission proposed the vote of thanks.
