Karnataka bank introduces ‘Missed Call Banking Facility’

Mangalore, 26 Apr 2014: Karnataka Bank, a Mangalore based premier private sector Bank, in corroboration with its mission statement of being ‘Technology Savvy Customer Centric Bank’ has launched another innovative service namely ‘Missed Call Banking Facility’, to provide a hassle free and convenient way to know the Account Balance & get Mini Statement on mobile.
After giving a missed call, the customer gets his account balance / Mini Statement through SMS on his mobile. The customer will not be charged for the facility, it is a ‘free of cost facility’. Bank customers can give a missed call from their registered mobile number to 18004251445 for ‘Balance enquiry’ and 18004251446 for getting mini statement.
“It is quite common for someone to give a missed call to their friends so that the other person calls him back. What if your Bank responds to such missed call by providing your account balance or mini statement? Yes! Karnataka Bank has launched such a innovative service and with this service customers of Karnataka Bank need not visit the branch, ATM or call Customer Care Centre to enquire their account balance or get printed their Mini Statement, instead they can now just give a missed call from their registered mobile number to the designated numbers of the Bank and know balance in their account or get mini statement” said P Jayarama Bhat, Managing Director & CEO of the Bank while launching the facility.
He also urged all the existing customers, who have not yet registered their mobile numbers and email ids to get them linked to their accounts and update whenever there are any changes so as to enable Bank to provide this innovative service & other account related SMS/email alerts.
