National Parties neglected Minorities in Issuing Tickets

Udupi, 01 May 2013: The key national parties neglected minority community without issuing party tickets to contest in the upcoming assembly elections in Udupi district. In spite of Kaup legislative assembly constituency has over 55,000 voters belonging to minority community; party ticket has been issued to a contestant from neighbouring district. In order to oppose the double standards of political parties; I am contesting as an independent candidate to create awareness in this regard, said Richard Lobo, independent candidate contesting form Kaup legislative constituency in the upcoming assembly elections.
Richard accompanied by a large number of his supporters campaigned in the localities of Shirva and Bantakal.
‘I am fully aware of burning issues of Kaup constituency, the situation of poor and menial workers, people living below poverty levels than mainstream parties who are soliciting the votes with the rich and middle income group families, alleged Richard.
