Kundapur: Leopards found dead, viscera sent to Forensic Science laboratory
Kundapur, 08 Oct 2012: The forest department has sent the viscera of leopards which were found dead at the Hulipare in the Mudoor forest area of Kundapur taluk to the Forensic Science laboratory in Bangalore to determine the cause of death.
On Saturday, two leopards were found dead near dead cattle by the villagers and had informed the forest officials.
Officials suspect that the leopards, one male aged four and another female aged two, may have killed the cow and the owner or some other miscreants may have poisoned the carcass of the cow resulting in the death of the animals. According to them leopards take about three or fours days to devour the animals they killed and miscreants may have taken advantage of this. The autopsy of the leopards was conducted at Anejhari.
