Acharya honours priest Basil Vas in Kasargod

Kasargod, 05 May 2010: ’’India will be a super power in the world, if we preserve the unity and harmony among ourselves,’’ said Karnataka Home Minister Dr V S Acharya.
He was addressing a gathering after inaugurating the felicitation programme organised by the Civilian Reception Committee to honour Bela Shoka Matha Church priest Basil Vas at the Town Hall here on Saturday.
He said that the unity and harmony can be preserved through spiritual harmony. “If we have willpower, we can work beyond our capacity. Spiritual leaders of all religions, have the major responsibility to unite the society. The ‘Sanathana Hindu’ culture does not separate anyone based on religion,” he added.
