Express News
BANGALORE: Dr Neeraj Patil, a London based Kannadiga and councillor who will contest as a Labour party candidate from Larkhall ward in London has launched his poll campaign.
The main issue dominating the election is the state of the British economy.
Both the main political parties, Labour and the Conservative, are trying to convince voters that they are most suitable for ensuring a real recovery and there is increasing talk of a ‘hung parliament’.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa has congratulated Dr Patil on his reselection as a candidate from the Labour party to run for the local council elections in London to be held during May 2010.
