Youth marries girl after much drama

Bangarpet, 03 July 2011: A wayward youth, who had allegedly fled after impregnating his lady love, finally married her after being ’’persuaded’’ by the members of Samata Sainik Dal.

 

The wedding of Srinivas and Shashikala was conducted by the members at Gangamma Gudi near Betamangala in Bangarpet on Saturday.Srinivas, a resident of Isandra Mittur was in love with one Shashikala, of the same village and had even promised to marry her.

 

Fled

However, he fled the village after he learnt that Shashikala was pregnant.Members of the Samata Sainik Dal particularly district unit president Chinnapura Venkatesh rushed to the aid of the beleaguered girl, after the news of cheating emerged. They were successfull in tracing Srinivas and in persuading him to marry Shashikala.

 

However, the relatives of  Srinivas were against the marriage and stayed away from the ceremony.

 

The relatives of Shashikala had lodged a complaint with the police which strengthened her case.M Ramaiah, Kadiregowdanakote M Munaiah, Nagesh, Venkatesh, Chalapathi, Muniyappa and others were present on the occasion.
