Dubai: Zodiac Fashion Show wins audience hearts at the U.A.E. Bunts 39th ’Koodukatt’ get-together

Dubai, 26 Apr 2013: The 39th Family Get-together organized by U.A.E. Bunts was a treat to watch filled with loads of mind blowing cultural events, dances, music and singing.  The special attraction Zodiac Fashion show was brilliant and mind blowing presented with all Zodiac Signs while the young beautiful lady well-known dancer of Dubai Miss. Adiditi Shetty performed scintillating Khatak dance throughout the Fashion Show which won the hearts of the fully packed audience held at JW Marriott Hotel, Dubai on Friday.  Everyone in the audience enjoyed the super show and uploaded their wonderful efforts in presenting the fashion show in an amazing manner with all the signs of Zodiac drawn on their bodies and the dresses resembling the zodiac signs.  The fashion show was choreographed by Jayashree Shetty and Shoba Shetty.

 

The other attraction of the grand show was a social skit “ Appena Tyaga “ written, created and acted by a well-known U.A.E. Bunt Jayarama Rai brought tears in the eyes of the audience which was based on Mother’s love, sacrifice for her Children.  The story was so intense and heart touching, patron of U.A.E. Bunts Dr. B.R. Shetty could not control his emotions and tears rolled down from his eyes.  The drama had a very strong message of love, sacrifice and forgiveness of a mother towards her children and signified the deep love and affection of mother towards her children and a strong message to children never to leave their parents in any situation, especially after their marriage.  This skit was beautifully presented, wonderfully acted by all actors and Jayaram Rai on the main role did a wonderful job playing father’s role and equally supported by Jyotica Hasha Shetty (mother), Sampath Shetty(Son) Sureka Sampat Shetty (daughter-in-law).  The play was directed and music given by a well known Magalorean Mr. Shodan Prasad.  

 

Earlier, the special guests of the day Sri Ganesh Hegde (Bollywood Singer and famous Choreographer) and Shri Kudi Vasanth Shetty (Teacher and recipient of Rashtra Prashathi and very good orator) were received by Patron Padmashree Dr. B.R. Shetty and Mr. Sarvotham Shetty (President, U.A.E. Bunts) ceremoniously welcomed by traditional band and led to the main hall and welcomed by the audience with a standing ovation attended  by over 1500 members from all over UAE and Gulf.

 

Sri Sarvotham Shetty invited all the guests accompanied by Platinum Sponsors namely; NMC Group - Dr.B R Shetty, Arab Udupi Restaurant- S B Shetty, Gantout Building Materials-Sujat Shetty,  Yatish Shetty, Royal Arc Infrastructure P Ltd, Mumbai-Kishore Shetty, Connect Builders-Umakant Alva, Heat Shield, Premnath Shetty, Ace Crane Systems-Gunsheel Shetty, Fortune Group Apartments-Praveen Shetty, Century Financial Brokers LLC-Ms.Asha Rathore Sr.Mrktg Mg and Structcon Construction, Dubai-Ravi Shetty.  The event was inaugurated by Patron of UAE Bunts Padmashree Dr. B.R. Shetty accompanied by Shri Ganesh Hegde and Shri Kudi Vasanth Shetty.

 

 

 

All the organizers rendered a prayer song accompanied by General Secretary Smt. Sangeetha Shetty followed by a welcome dance by little children.  Sangeetha Shetty then welcomed the chief guests, patron, audience with a beautiful narration of tulu nadu, its people, traditions and love of mother land.  It was indeed a wonderful welcome speech and beautifully presented and applauded by the audience.

 

The highlight of the event was to honour the chief guests of the day Mr.Ganesh Hegde (wel-known choreographer of bollywood) and Mr.Kudi Vasanth Shetty, Teacher (recipient of Rastra Prashasthi ).  They were honoured by Dr. B.R. Shetty with traditional shawls, flower bouquets, fruits and mementos. Mr. Vasanth Shetty was also hounoured with "Bunta Vibhooshana" Prashasthi from UAE Bunts for his great achievements as Head Master and on receiving the Rastra Prashasti.  Shri Ganesh Hegde thanked Dr. B.R. Shetty for honouring him and appreciated UAE bunts for inviting him for a wonderful show.  He also taught a few basic steps of Bollywood dances and promised he will be back with more dances later.

 

All the members of current committee along with their spouses were invited to the dais and were introduced to the audience and their dedication to serve the UAE Bunts were applauded by Shri Sarvotham Shetty.  The new committee members too were introduced at the same time and wished them good luck.

The day long was filled with loads of variety of dances, music and skits.  Another attraction of the day was a skit titled: “Birduda Beere – Devu Poonje” directed by Shri Viswanath Shetty was wonderfully presented.  All the achievers of the academic excellence in SSLC and PUC were hounoured during the event.

 

Another main attraction of the day was  UAE level folk dance competition is the main attraction of the day.  There were four groups and all of them presented the show wonderfully with scintillating traditional, janapad dances and Bollywood dances.  These dances were a treat to watch.  The first prize was bagged by Namma Tulunadu choreographed by Jasmine Vivek and second prize went to Sivabhaka (Choreographed by Pavan Abu Dhabi) and the third place went to “Jatre” choreographed by Mangalla Shetty  - Dubai).

 

Speaking on the occasion  Dr.B R Shetty, appreciated the efforts put up by all the committee members for presenting the wonderful tulunadu culture, its traditions and love of mother via dances, skits. He highlighted especially the skit “ Appena Tyaga “ wherein mother’s love towards their children and said how he felt and became emotional and the tears rolled down his eyes.  He also said and advised the current generation not forget the love and sacrifices made their parents.  He also thanked Ganesh Hegde and Kudi Vasanth Shetty for their presence.

 

Mr.Kudi Vasanth Shetty presented beautiful speeches on various achievements of Bunts community, their gift to the society, education and in many other fields.  He also advised on five types of love and friendship we must keep alive and continue.

Over all it was a total tulu nadu culture, tradition and language that was wonderfully presented by all the locals artists, it was one of the most memorable day of family get-together filled with fun, love, friendship, tradition and enjoyed by every soul in the audience..  A wonderful presentation indeed.
