Bunts Dubai & Dolphin RAK Ace Spikers reign in Bellevision Volley-ball and Throw-ball Tourney

Dubai, 12 November 2011: In one of the most thrilling matches held during the Bellevision Volly Ball and Throw Ball Tournament organized for the first time by Bellevison. Bunts Dubai defeated their arch rivals Jashan Dubai in the straight set while in the Volleyball Match Dolphin RAK Ace Spikers defeated Saifa Chilly Willey also in the straight sets. In the most exiting tournament held for the first time by Bellevision in association with Konkans Dubai fifteen Volleyball Teams and eight Throwball teams participated.
The Bellevision tourney was held at Sharjah Wanderers Club on 11 November, 2011 where more than 250 young people across UAE participated in the tournament. It was a bright and sunny day and everything went as maticulasaly planned by Bellevision thought the tournament was held for the first time Bellevision, there was no lack of experience and it was one of the well organized and all the matches were held in co-cordial atmosphere and timely.

The main goal of the event was to raise awareness of the universal language of sport in bringing people together, and to encourage young adults to lead healthy lives.
The event began with the welcome speech from Bellevision president Ronald D’Souza. Both UAE and India were honored with their respective national Anthem. The tournament was inaugurated by the release of balloons and dove by the chief guest and other delegates.
Mr. Sudhir Shetty, COO Global (UAE Exchange) was the chief guest of this function and Mr Ronald Aranha the Guest of Honor.
The message of the Chief-guest inspired the athletes and others in the field of sports and games and the Guest of Honor praised Bellevision UAE for organizing the event and for all the hard work put forward in making this event happen.
The Oath taking ceremony for all athletics was conducted on by Konkans Dubai team captain Ms. Marina Menezes.
The Throw Ball matches were symbolically inaugurated by Juliana Noronha and Dr. Diana and Volley Ball match by Lancy Madtha & Ronald Aranha.
The inaugural function was compeered by RJ Yamini of Radio Spice.
The entire commentary for the sports event was done by Uttam Menezes a well-known MC in U.A.E. and Roshini Lobo. The event had the presence of renowned compere of Abu Dhabi Mr. Anil Pinto to spice up the event. Although he had giving on compering, he was kind enough to heed Bellevision call.
The morning session was held matches between all the teams and all of the teams fought for the semi-finals birth but only four each teams could make it. In the Volley Ball matches; Doldhin RAK Ace Spikers, Quarry Miners, Chilly-Willy and Saifah Chilly-Willy could reach the semi-finals where in the Throw Ball matches Bunts Dubai, Bellevision, Jashan Dubai and Karnataka Sangha Abu Dhabi.
A sumptuous buffet from Canara Restaurant was organized for all the participants as well for the sport enthusiastic who attended the tournament.
The afternoon section involved Semi-finals and final matches. In the most thrilling finish, Bunts Dubai and Jashan Dubai reached the finals while in Volley Ball, Dolphin RAK Ace Spikers and Saifah-Chilly-Willy reached the finals.
In the throw-ball both the teams were equally good and really fought for the top spot and eventually in the third set defeated Jashan Dubai and reached the top posiiton.
However, in the Volley Ball match, it was one sided game as Dolphin RAK Ace Spikers easily defeated Saifah-Chilly-Willy in the straight sets.
Special attraction of the event was the exhibition volley ball match held between two veteran teams “Titan knicks” and “Clouds Nine” comprising of former universities, state and national level players. Titan Knicks emerged as winners in straight sets.
A brief stage programme was held for honouring sponsors of the event and they were felicitated by floral bouquettes by the President of Bellevision Ronald D’Souza. Satish Venkatramana the MD of Chilly Willy trading LLC was the chief guest for the event and Mr. Walter Nandalike the editor in chief of daijiworld.com was the guest of Honor. Ronald Saby the MD of Bluechem, Wilfred menezes the MD of Omnitec security systems, Stan D’Souza the MD of Dragon Engineering and Praveen Shetty the MD of Fortune Group of Hotels were also present on the dais.
Mr. Wilfred Menezes the MD of Omnitec securities LLC spoke on this moment and set a new standard for the Bellevision Tourney in the years to come.
The auction for the raffle tickets was carried out by Mr. Ronald Sabestian and Mr. Uttam Menezes.
A veteran sport/Throw Ball personality Ms. Marina Menezes was honoured and felicitated by Bellevion team for her outstanding support to sports during her entire carrier in U.A.E. She was presented with a traditional Shawl by Mr. Stanly D’Souza, a memento and flower bouquet.
The winning trophies were presented by Mr. Satish Venkataramana of Chilly-Willy and Mr. Praveen Kumar Shetty of Fortune Hotel Apartments.
The outstanding atheltics and teams were also recognized esp. for well-disciplined teams. In the Volley Ball teams the prize was given to Quarry Mining and in the Throw Ball the prize was received by Pacific Pearls Dubai. Vote of Thanks was proposed by Vice-President Manoj D’Souza. The closure ceremony was compeered by Ms. Roshni Lobo.

Hats off to you Bellevision team, particularly Elias, Godwin, Valerian, Rony,Vally,, Well done. Though it was for the first time but every one felt as if they are attending the tournament held many times in the fast. Nothing was lacking, every thing was planned so well and organized in such a way, you showed you can do it and do it many times in future. Hard work never goes waste and all volunteers were so dedicated to the cause and they did a marvelous job. KEEP IT UP MY FRIENDS. ALL THE BEST FOR THE FUTURE ENDEVOURS OF BELLEVISION..
It was a wonderful tournament. Volley ball n throw ball matches were exciting. I would like to salute the organizers for their wonderful effort, even though they were new in organizing sports event but they managed quite well. Congratulations to Bellevision organizing committee. Hope to see more events from you. God bless u all.
