Mangalore: Ustad Rafiq Khan Graces Thirteenth Anniversary of PATMA in City

Mangalore, 4 Nov 2013: Patrick and Wilma Institute of Music (PATMA) located at Bondel roundabout on Airport Road, here celebrated their thirteenth anniversary by scintillating music concert of nearly 50 musicians ranging from 2 years to 50 years who were trained at the Institute in the past 2 years, here on Sunday November 3 evening.
Ustad Rafiq Khan was the chief guest released ‘Gitar Magic’, a CD produced by PATMA during the programme.
The city-based Sea Bird International proprietor and journalist Dony Bantwal, DCIB sub-inspector Valentine D’Souza and Grace Ministry preacher Bro Andrew Richard were the guests of honor.
Moulana U K Abdul Aziz Darimi Chokkabettu was the guest of honor present for a short while.
Ustad Rafiq Khan along with dignitaries felicitated PATMA singers – Ameer Jan, Salih Hassan, Sangeeta Balachandra, R C Mahesh and Mohammed Iqbal on the same occasion.
The orchestra of Lourdes Central School (LCS), Bejai, here with Class X student Stalin D’Souza and drummer Class VI student Sherwin D’Souza presented melodious music to the delight of audience who cheered them with standing ovation.
Stany D’Souza Angelore along with Rochelle Coelho compered the programme. Stany had been compering PATMA anniversaries from first so far.
Patrick Pereira is a talented musician who taught music while working in Dubai with Golden Talent Music Centre for 9 years, while his wife Wilma also an instrumentalist.
PATMA trains the students in guitar, drums, keyboard and vocals.
