Awareness on Prevention of Sexual Harassment organized in Milagres College, Kallianpur

Udupi/Kallianpur, 10 Dec 2023: On Saturday, 9th December, 2023, the NSS unit and the POSH cell of Milagres College Kallianpur in association with IQAC organized a programme to spread awareness on prevention of sexual harassment.

 

In the light of College days being full of excitement and fun, where teenagers get to experience new things, new friends and new environment, there are chances to be victims of both miss-understanding and misleading by few, at times resulting in abuse or exploitation, such interactive sessions and awareness programmes are proving to be very useful.

 

Interestingly, the resource person of today’s programme was our own student Ms. Dhanya K Hebbar of II BA. She interacted with the students and made them aware of the need for them to be conscious of whatever is happening to them behaviourally.

 

 

It was a great session to raise awareness among students and to understand the need to prevent sexual harassment.

 

The principal Dr Vincent Alva, IQAC coordinator Dr Jayaram Shettigar, NSS officers Mrs Anupama Jogi and Mr Ganesh Nayak and POSH cell convenor Mrs Radhika Patkar were present.
