17 Sep 2014: We might have heard from many people we meet on daily basis saying that “I don’t know what to do today”; “don’t know how to proceed further in this” “I don’t know where to send my child after 10th, 12th “and friends saying “arey yaar, I am badly struck”etc. A lot confusion, uncertainties, barriers. Many a times we ourselves may be a victim of this uncertainty also. Quite naturally.

How to come out from situations like this? It looks very difficult many a times, sometime sound silly, suddenly we find a way out. How about some important issues and we are struck without resolution? How about our own personal growth; may be in academics, profession or in family life is struck and we don’t know the destination? This can be proved disastrous at times if we are not prepared.

The best way to prepare for this is to programme the mind with flexibility, knowledge and the goal. To programme the mind to be positive and to read a positive message from any event.

We all work with computer on daily basis; doing work, playing games, watching movies and so on. Most of the work in this modern world is done through computer. Have we ever noticed what it does, how it works and what we can learn from it to make our life happy? How to learn a lesson for our own life from how computer works? You may question that when everyone blames computer for so many addictions in our life, what lesson to learn from the computers?

As we all know that there are 3 main components in the computer (Keyboard; CPU and Monitor) like we have organs in our body. Keyboard is like our 5 sensory organs; Eye, Ear, Nose, Taste (Tung) and Skin. The way keyboard is designed to send data to the CPU, the computer brain; similarly these 5 sensory organs acts as keyboard sending various inputs to our brain. So it is we sending these positive or negative signals to our brain. It proves   that being a positive or negative person is in our own hands. How about sending only the positive input to the brain filtering negative perception of the world outside? Once I asked my German professor during the NLP session “why human tendency is more toward to pick up negative perception leaving behind the positive?” She told me that it is individual’s problem, who prefers to read negative things where option is available to pick up positive also. So if we decide to be negative person and want to transmit negative energy, it is purely our choice. Like wise no one can stop us from being a positive person and transmit positive energy.

Once the command reaches the CPU, monitor displays the result depending on what you fed through keyboard So if you send a command to show a smiling face, monitor can’t display a dull swollen face. It never happens. Likewise when you send a joyful message to your brain you have to smile only! It is because our body language may be compared with computer monitor .It (the body) behaves / displays the way you command your brain. So being happy and positive or just opposite to it purely depends on our choice. Remember we reveal all in a handshake. That is the result of programming the mind. Our body language reveals the truth of our inner thoughts and feelings.

Why we find few successful people around us? The basic difference is in the approach, they try and succeed; we think that it is not possible, don’t even attempt and give up. They are committed to be focused and therefore successful. Consider all the great personalities and visionaries; this is what we find common in them. A positive person programmes his brain to perceive positive things from any type of situation and become successful in whatever he does like a programmed computers monitor displaying set outcomes.

So let us stop blaming external circumstances for our failures. It is our choice that determines what we are and what we become. What we see and hear is what we think about. What we think about what we feel. What we feel influences our reactions.

Reactions become habits (patterns) and it is our habits determine our destiny.

By programming our mind we can come out from any challenging situation and can obtain the desired outcome. When we are struck we need to ask ourselves “what I want from next moment? Next minute? Next hour? Next week, month, year …..??? Find the answer and proceed. We struck because we don’t have a plan or a programme to proceed. When we don’t even enter a bus, train, plane etc without knowing the destination, why such a silly approach to life? When we say every moment that; “life is short make better use of it”; what we practice actually? We do quite opposite to what we say or read or talk and get struck.

In one of the training session I asked participants what they do when the speed of the computer goes down or if a virus disrupts normal functioning of the computer. All of them had an immediate response saying that they install antivirus, increase RAM etc. Very immediately I asked them what they do when life is struck or bogged down by painful events and happiness goes down. No one had an answer, all were mute. This is what exactly we do in life. We keep quiet without taking any action or resolution and go into depression. Tell me friends, is the value of our life is less than that of a computers? If not from today onward kindly act to speed up joy in your life. Install an antivirus against people, incidents those bring down our productivity and joy. Model the working of the computer and be productive like it by programming your mind.

Finally, when to program our mind against a situation or an incident? It has to be done when we notice in our surroundings, when someone is struck due to various reasons. Because what others experience today may be our destiny tomorrow (many people call/write me to seek advice about what to do with their kid studying 10th   and 12th?) They ask this question usually after the 10th public examinations!) Programme and practice to stay positive and confident; like a computer programmed to display the desired result.
