Bantwal: DC on surprise check seizes 15 trucks transporting sand illegally

Bantwal, 09 Jul 2014: Deputy Commissioner (DC) A B Ibrahim here on Wednesday July 9 in a surprise operation on the spot instructed law enforcing agencies to seize over 15 dumper trucks laden with sand that were illegally transporting the payload.

 

 

DC Ibrahim accompanied by SP Dr Sharanappa, Bantwal Tahsildar Malleswamy and geology department officials on separate automobiles was on his way to Neria in Beltangady from Mangalore, when they were stuck in traffic jam at B C Road, here where the underground drainage works was underway.

 

DC Ibrahim instructed geology department officials to check the permits of trucks and the police to check their registration certificates in order to take further actions on the erring truck owners.
