Udupi: Ninth District Kannada Sahitya Sammelan off to a colorful start

Udupi, 20 Jun 2014: The ninth district Kannada Sahitya Sammelan began with fanfareat Poornaprajna College (PPC) here on Friday June 20 morning.
  
Professor Ramdas will preside two-day Kannada Sahitya Sammelan, as the dignitaries arrived at the venue.
 
The entrepreneur Suresh Shetty Gurme, Gopal C Bangera, Abatanaya Mudrady, religious leader Harikrishna Punaroor, Nilawar Surendra Adiga, former MLA Raghupati Bhat and others were present on the occasion.

 

 
 
 
The highlight of the programme was singing of Kannada Bhuvneshwari song by PPC students and peasants’ song by the students of Madhav Kripa School.
  
Swami Vishwesha of Adamar mutt has arrived to inaugurate the Sammelan.
