Man stabs woman, self

Mangalore, 09 Apr 2014: A person stabbed a girl and then stabbed himself with a knife in a bid to end his life at Kadri on Wednesday.

 

The victims have been identified as Mithilesh Kamath from Mumbai and Saloni Das. Kadri Police said Kamath was in a serious condition and has been admitted to District Government Wenlock Hospital and the woman to a private hospital here.

 

Police said they do not know what transpired and what the relationship between them was. According to eyewitnesses, the Kamath stabbed the woman after a verbal altercation. When the woman screamed for help, public started gathering and Kamath stabbed himself with the knife he had used to stab the Saloni.
