Greenwood High International School Annual Day celebration

Bangalore, 03 April 2014: Greenwood High International School celebrated its Annual Day at its campus in Varthur Sarjapur Road. Renowned scholar Dr. Rajendra Kumar Pachauri who heads Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change was the Chief Guest of the event. Principal Mr. Aloysius D’Mello presented the Annual Report of the school and requested Dr. Pachauri to felicitate all the meritorious students for their outstanding performance in the last academic year. This year’s celebration was based on the theme of “Nature” to enunciate the importance of the core five elements of “Bhumi(Earth), Jala(Water), Agni (Fire), Vayu (Air) and Aakash (Space). Close to 5,000 people were part of this glittering ceremony.
While interacting with the students Dr. Pachauri emphasized on the understanding of nature, and said “Nature is core to all of our lives, hence it becomes essential for all of us to take up the responsibility of conserving natural resources for our future. We all need to work hand-in-hand to achieve this for a better tomorrow. ”
