Subraya Hebbar-father of Devdas Hebbar passes away

Moodubelle, 03 January 2010: Subraya Hebbar, father of Devdas Hebbar, passed away on Saturday, 2nd January 2010 at 8.15 PM. He was 87 years old. He is survived by his 85 year old wife, Saraswati, four sons including Devdas Hebbar and three daughters.
Late Subraya Hebbar had worked as medical propagandist in May and Baker Company in Mumbai during the 1940’s. Later, he worked in the Modern Hindu Hotel in Mumbai and later as hotelier in Warangal, Andhra Pradesh for nearly fifteen years. Following the death of his father in 1960, Subraya Hebbar came back and settled down at his ancestral place in Kattingeri. Late Subraya Hebbar had been the Managing Trustee of the Shri Brahma Lingeshwara temple at Kattingeri for nearly 35 years. However, due to his ill health, since around twenty years, Devdas Hebbar has been acting as the Managing Trustee of this temple.
The funeral of late Subraya Hebbar was held at 5 PM on Sunday, 3rd January 2010. Around five hundred people including important personalities in social, cultural and political field were present for the funeral.
