Udupi: Kuntalnagar parishioners celebrate annual feast with great devotion and fervor

Udupi, 23 Jan 2014: The annual feast of St. Antony’s Church, Kuntalnagar was celebrated with great devotion and fervor by the parishioners on Wednesday, 22 January 2014 at 10.30 am. Rev. Fr. Jerome Monteiro, former parish priest of Kuntalnagar and presently the parish priest of Miyar concelebrated the solemn feast mass along with other priests. 

 

 

Rev. Fr. Reginald Pinto in his homily continued the theme of building the parish community by building up the family units with prayer, unity and tolerance.

 

Prior to the feast mass, Rev. Fr. Denis D’Sa, parish priest of Kuntalnagar and the PRO of the Diocese of Udupi distributed candles of honour to the office-bearers of the various associations of the parish and mud-dhoms.

 

On Tuesday, 21 January 2014 Vespers were observed from 7 pm. The Vespers service was conducted by Rev. Fr. Rudolf, Administrator of Fr. Muller’s Hospital, Mangalore.

 

 

Following the Vespers service fire-works were displayed.
