Udupi: Narayan Guru High School, Padubelle Celebrates Silver Jubilee

Udupi, 5 Jan 2014: The struggles of people who were most oppressed by higher class, but trusted the teachings of social reformer Guru Narayan has contributed for the prosperity of oppressed community. One gets peace by praying at the worship center, but education shapes the future of an individual. The struggles are indispensable to get democratic rights. Billawar Association Mumbai ® is truly committed to the teachings of Guru Naryan, said Karnataka state primary and high school education minister Kimmane Ratnakar.
The minister Ratnakar was speaking during the valedictory function of silver jubilee celebration of Narayan Guru High School, Padubelle, near here on Saturday January 4.
The minister Ratnakar also inaugurated the welcome arch of The late Pandit S K Suvarna Belle Educational Complex and felicitated all those families who have donated their mite in this regard.
He also assured that the teachings of Narayan Guru will be compiled to make it a chapter in text book in coming academic year.
The state urban minister Vinay Kumar Sorake after inaugurating silver jubilee memorial building block at the school campus said that the state-run schools that thrived since several centuries are on the verge of closure, while the state government is trying to revive them with several incentives. Meanwhile, Billawar Association Mumbai ® and its visionary Jaya C Suvarna have greatly contributed in supporting Narayan Guru High School, Padubelle, here. He also assured to contribute Rs 5 lac every year to the school, assured minister Sorake.
The former state minister and MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary inaugurated Narayan Guru English Medium School building on the same occasion.
All India Billawar Federation chairman Jaya C Suvarna released ‘Rajatasuma’ silver jubilee bulletin.
Billawar Association Mumbai ® president L V Amin presided the function.
ZP former president Katpady Shankar Poojary, TP former president Devdas Hebbar, ZP member Ida Gilbert D’Souza, Geetanjali Suvarna, Belle gram panchayat president Rajendra Shetty, district education department deputy director Nagendra Madhyasta were the guests of honor.
Billawar Association honorary chief secretary Jyoti K Suvarna welcomed the gathering. The administrator Jinaraj Salian read the report. The head teacher Usha S, Bhaskar V Bangera, Jayashankar, Balakrishna Karkera, A P Bhat, Jayaprakash Suvarna, Partasarati, Nityanand Kotian was present at the dais.
The teacher Geeta P read the names of winners of different competitions. The teacher Arundati Prabhu and Suresh Naik compered the programme. Shivaji Suvarna proposed vote of thanks.
