M’lore: Vijaya College, Mulky Golden Jubilee Celebration – Open-air Stage inaugurated

Mangalore, 26 Dec 2013: The newly-built open-air stage to mark golden jubilee celebrations of Vijaya College, Mulky, near here was inaugurated recently.

 
The mega rally was held from Durgaparameshwari temple, Bappanadu till College premises, as part of golden jubilee celebrations.  The students and alumni, dignitaries participated in the mega rally that was accompanied with traditional musicians and folk groups.

 
Professor T C Shivashankaramurti inaugurated the open-air stage on the occasion.

 
Swami Laxmivarateera of Shiroor mutt inaugurated the stage programme of golden jubilee celebrations.

 
Speaking on the occasion, Swami Laxmivarateerta said that the college students are addicted to TV and mobiles and neglect their studies.  Everyone needs education, one has to love the art too, said Swami Laxmivarateerta.  He also advised the students to excel in studies bring name and fame to their college, live fruitful life here on earth. 

  
 
The state minister K Abayachandra Jain, Dubai entrepreneur Sarvottam Shetty, Dr Sudarshan Devadar, Aikala Harish Shetty, Vishwanat N Shenoy and others were present on the occasion.

 
The retired principals, present principal and donors were felicitated during the programme.

 
The golden jubilee celebration Committee secretary Shamina Alva introduced Dubai entrepreneur Sarvottam Shetty.

 

 

 The golden jubilee celebration Bangalore Committee secretary V Surendra Kamat couple, Harikrishna Punaroor, Ravindra Shetty, Satish Kamat, Dr Arun Kudwa, Ashok Shetty, Nasik Karunakar Shetty, Abu Dhabi Sampat Shetty couple, Shanti Kudwa were present on the occasion.

 
The golden jubilee celebration Committee president Dr M A R Kudwa welcomed the gathering.  Bhairavi R Pandya read the felicitation address.  Dr Roshan Kumar compered the programme.  Professor K R Shankar proposed vote of thanks.
