Mangalore: State Minister U T Khader launches Indiana Gramina Arogya Card in City

Mangalore, 23 Dec 2013: The city-based Indiana Hospital launched Indiana Gramina Arogya Card, in association with Tiny Heart Foundation, as part of corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, for providing comprehensive treatments to financially-challenged patients at subsidized package rate, here on Sunday December 22.
The state health and family welfare minister U T Khader launched Indiana Gramina Arogya Card during a function held here on Sunday.
Indiana Hospital managing director Dr Yusuf Kumble presided the function.
The state minister for youth services and fisheries Abayachandra Jain, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Mangalore south MLA J R Lobo, Fatima Retreat House Jesuit priest Fr Ravi Santosh Kamat, local corporator Praveenchandra Alva, Aramana Hospital managing director Dr Zachariya, Indiana Hospital director Dr Z K Misri were present on the occasion.
Indiana Hospital director Haneefa Aramana inaugurated distribution of Indiana Gramina Arogya Card by handing over to corportor Praveenchandra Alva on the occasion.
Indiana Hospital chairman Dr Ali Kumble welcomed the gathering. Basheer Kinningar proposed the vote of thanks.
Indiana Gramina Arogya Card will offer special concessional package treatments in all departments and special discounts on selected OP services. This program will benefit a total of Rs 1 lach to financially-challenged families from 5 districts in Karnataka and 2 districts from Kerala.
Indiana Gramina Arogya Card will be distributed through the locally elected legislative body members, gram panchayath member, municipality member and civic counselors.
