Mangaluru: Indiana Hospital to provide free health check up to journalists from Feb 1

Mangaluru, 28 Jan 2015: The city-based Indiana Hospital has come forward to provide free health check up for the journalists of Dakshina Kannada district and their family members from February 1 in its premises.
The initiative was inaugurated by the mayor Mahabala Marla at Press Club on Wednesday January 28 morning.
Addressing the media persons’ mayor Mahabala Marla said, ‘Journalists are the ones who work tirelessly for the benefit of the society without expecting anything. If they are healthy, then it symbolizes the health of the country. This is a good initiative. I congratulate Indiana Hospital for the initiative.’
Indiana Hospital managing director Dr Yusuf Kumble in his keynote address said, ‘I believe in prevention. Journalists are among the people who are highly stressed in the society. Hence we have organised this programme for the journalists, so that they can take care of their health amidst busy schedule.’
Today unknowingly, we get many diseases. It is important to undergo frequent health checkups when one is over 40 years to prevent many diseases, added Dr Kumble.
