Hassan: Girl Kidnapped in Movie-style; CCTV Footage Gives Clue

Hassan, 18 Nov 2013: A group of three persons kidnapped a girl who has arrived to appear for examination of Karnataka state Open University at BEG College, located nearby Axis Bank, B M Road, here on Monday November 18 morning. 

 

 
The girl was identified as M C Soumya, a resident of Gandasi, here who was kidnapped by 3 persons in a Maruti van.  She was going through revisions to appear for BA economics final exam by sitting in the steps of BEG College at 8.55pm, when she was kidnapped like the movie-style. 

 
CCTV captured the incident

 
CCTV installed by Axis Bank that lies besides the College captured the incident, the license plate and of 3 persons clear pictures were retrieved by the law enforcement agencies.  The police identified the owner of Maruti van as H K Chetan Kumar, resident of Krishna Nagar, near Bagedara Koppalu.

 
DySP and local police sub-inspector Vijayakrishna visited the spot and hopeful of nabbing the kidnappers at the earliest.
