Abu Dhabi: Karnataka Sangh to organize Karnataka Rajyotsav Celebrations on Nov 1

Abu Dhabi, 13 Oct 2013: Karnataka Sangh – Abu Dhabi will be organizing Karnataka Rajyotsav celebration with traditional gaiety and splendor,  scheduled to be held at India Social and Cultural Centre, Mina Road, here on Friday November 1 at 10.30am.

Indian Ambassador to UAE M K Lokesh will be the chief guest of the occasion.

The renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist B R Shetty will preside the function. The conferring of ‘Da Ra Bendre Award’ will be held during the programme.

A cultural troupe of Divya Sharma will present variety Kannada group dances, group songs. The ace comedian Dayanand from Bangalore will enthrall the audiences with mimicry and laughter session.

Rohit Ananth and group will present dance recital based on the mythological episode ‘Shila Balikas’. The artistes of Sri Mookambika Cultural Academy, Puttur, Dakshina Kannada district will present Kannada folk-dances such as Shiva Tandava dance and dance recital based on Kannada poetry, ‘Kavi Kanda Karnataka’.

 

 

Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha wishes to honour the Kannadiga students during the Karnataka Rajyotsava Celebration, who have excelled in the following activities:

(1) Students of Class X and XII who have secured 90 percent or above marks in Board Examination of 2013.

(2) Students who have excelled in sports activities and represented their school in India or abroad and earned gold/silver/bronze medals.

(3) Students who have excelled in extra-curricular activities (literary, arts and quiz) and earned recognition from the prominent authorities in India or abroad.

(4) Students who have earned HH Shaikh Hamdan Award, Dubai or Sharjah Award.
