UP: Girl throws acid on lover for refusing to marry her

Basti, 01 Oct 2013 (PTI): Infuriated over rejection of her marriage proposal, a 20-year-old girl allegedly threw acid on her lover in Padhni village here, police said on Tuesday.

 

 

The girl threw acid on Dharmendra on Monday afternoon, they said, adding that she had been angry with her lover ever since he had refused to marry her.

 

The youth was rushed to the district hospital from where he was referred to the Lucknow Medical College Hospital, police said.

 

The girl has been arrested.
