Dubai: Kalachakra, Tulu Play indeed Successful in echoing Social Stigma in Families of Coastal Dist

Dubai, 27 Sept, 2013 : Kalachakra, Tulu play presented by Udupi-based Rangabhoomi theater troupe along with the artistes of metro based Nama Tuluver, amateur theater troupe formed by Indian expats hailing from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts, at Leisure Land, here brought tears in the eyes of audiences, as they moved with social trauma of family depicted in the play.
The play was successfully in bringing home the message of degeneration of family values in the society back in motherlands.
The most versatile artistes of Rangabhoomi ® enacted the roles of traditional Indian family back in the native, wherein the new generation has come under the influence of western culture, disregarding their parents who are driven to the street and at last cared by some samaritans. It has indeed rekindled the plight of human life and to ponder over their exit from this world.
Kalachakra, Tulu social play bagged several awards including from Tulu Sahitya Academy.
The play was successful in creating awareness among new generation not to disregard their elderly parents in the guise of modernity.
The play indeed rekindled the consciousness of audiences in order to introspect over their lives, and mend their relationship for better love, empathize, solace and succor to the feeble parents.
The audiences were moved in tears to view how the new generation has thrashed out the expectations of their elderly parents, who were loosened by the shackles of bondage as the time passed by. The play concludes with passage of time that is detrimental in reviving or distancing the relations was the message depicted in the play.
Kalachakra, Tulu play is translated by H K Karkera from Marathi authored by Jayavant Dalvi. It was directed by Pradeepchandra Kutpady along with music director Geetam Girish.
The versatile artistes Pradeepchandra Kutpady, Sujata Shetty, Sripada Hegde, Chanchalakshi Bhat, Rajesh Bhat Paniyadi, Vivekanand N, Sasiprabha and Jayakar Manipal acted superbly on their respective roles.
Kalachakra, was directed by Pradeepchandra Kutpady with more humanely, depicting the bond of generations, the oddities of life, struggle between trust and reality, love and empathy etc was rekindled in the minds of audiences.
Earlier to the show, Lalita Ganiga inaugurated the stage programme.
The play director Pradeepchandra Kutpady, Satish Venkataramana and his wife Mamata were felicitated on the same occasion.
Acme Building Materials managing director Harish Seriga, Chilly Willy proprietor Satish Venkataramana, Fortune Group of Hotels managing director Praveen Shetty, Karnataka Sangh – Abu Dhabi president Sarvottam Shetty, Jagannat Ganiga, Arun Ganiga, Karnataka Sangh – Sharjah president Satish Poojary, past president Ganesh Rai, Radio Spice jockey Herman Lewis, Frank D’Souza, Daijiworld managing director Walter Nandalike, entrepreneur Rakesh Malli, Nama Tuluver promoter Shodan Prasad and others were present on the occasion.
Harish Serigar presented scintillating Kannada and Tulu hit songs enthralled the audience.
The same show will be held in Indian School auditorium, Abu Dhabi, in association with Tulu Koota – Abu Dhabi on Friday September 27 at 5.00pm.
