M’lore: LPG Customers & Ration Users Forum urges State Admin not to Make Aadhaar Card Mandator

Mangalore, 23 Sep 2013: Dharmendra K, chairman of cooking gas and ration consumers Forum urged the Dakshina Kannada (DK) district administration as not to make Aadhaar Card number mandatory for LPG cylinders distribution effective from next month, since not all the citizens already enrolled for Aadhaar Card, urged Dharmendra.
Dharmendra was speaking during the annual general meeting of the Forum at Hidayat Centre, here on Sunday September 22.
Dharmendra further said that although the state administration makes it compulsory to link Aadhaar Card numbers to LPG consumers, the decision can be postponed for a while till everyone gets the Unique Identity Number (UID), said Dharmendra
An executive Committee of 25 members was elected on the occasion, who will elect the new office bearers shortly, said the Forum secretary Siddiq Jakribettu.
The Forum vice president Vishwanat K B was present on the dais.
Mohammed Mohsin and Abdul Salam were also present on the occasion. Rekha Baliga Ayesha welcomed the gathering. Ajay Kumar presented the annual accounts.
