Was Yasin Bhatkal brought to Mangalore?
Mangalore, 07 Sep 2013: Was Yasin Bhatkal brought to Mangalore on Friday morning? Sources in the airport confirmed that a chartered flight from New Delhi landed at Bajpe airport around 10am and left at 6.30pm. "It was a hush hush affair. There was so much commotion at the airport that we thought some terrorist was arrested.
Finally, we came to know that Yasin was brought by NIA from New Delhi. The NIA personnel did come by the main gate. In fact, we never saw the passengers of that flight. We just saw the flight land and take off,’’ said an official.
Bhatkal sources said that they had been in touch with Yasin alias Ahmed Siddibapa’s father Zarrar and there was no indication that yasin was brought to Bhatkal.
Police Commissioner Manish Kharbikar said he was not aware of it. "Usually, outside agencies take our help. But no one had approached us," he added.
