Kundapur: World Environment Day observed in Gurukul Public School

Kundapur,12 Jun 2013: ‘World Environment” day was celebrated in Koteshwara Public school in a unique way. Surrounded by green environment, each student of the school planted one sapling with the theme of “Each one Plant one”. Before planting the saplings they gathered information about the plant that they were planting.
Besides planting the saplings, the students of the school also picked up plastic bags and other remaining of plastic with the aim of converting the surrounding as “Plastic Free Zone”.
Principal of the school, Mrs. Roopa Shenoy as well as the administrative officer of the school, Dr. G.H. Prabhakara Shetty symbolically inaugurated the ‘Vanamahotsava’ by planting a sapling each.
