Shyam N. Shetty, Vice President of the Bunts Association, Mumbai honoured

Karkala, 22 July 2010:  Shyam N. Shetty, the Vice President of the Mumbai Bunts’ Association who is also the proprietor of the Shetty Caterers was honoured by his native village, Nakre recently in the Shri Mahalingeshwara Higher Primary School. With his assistance all the 240 students of the school were  given free uniform.

During this occasion free note books were also distributed to the students through Bhasmank Mehta, a NRI from London and the old student of the school-Manoj Shetty from Mumbai.

The programme of honouring Shyaam N. Shetty and distribution of free uniforms and note books was attended by  Jagannath Shetty-a prominent shipping entrepreneur from Mumbai, J.P. Shetty of Pest Marton India Limited, Denis D’ Paula-Deputy Director of ‘Akshara Dasohada’ of Karkala Taluk, Shekhar Shetty, Mrs. Shakuntala-Vice President of Taluk Panchyat, Mrs. B. Indira-memebr of the school management, Sundar Hegde-the Headmaster of the school and the staff members and parents of the students.
