Udupi: Good Friday observed in the Diocese with fasting, prayer and reverence

Udupi, 30 Mar 2013: Good Friday was observed throughout the Udupi Diocese by Christians with fast, prayers,  Way of the Cross and reverence.
 
Rev. Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi conducted  Good Friday liturgy in the Milagres Cathedral at Kallianpur. The Bishop in his homily said that the humility and compassion of Jesus were not his weaknesses but his strength. He sacrificed on the Cross for the deliverance of human race from sins. Even on the Cross he forgave those who tormented him.

 

 

 
Besides, Good Friday services were held at different churches at Udupi, Shirva, Shankarpura, Kundapura, Karkala, Moodubelle, Manipal and many other churches. Thousands of Christians participated in the Good Friday religious services.
