Udupi: Stage Set for ICYM Mukamar inter-parish Christmas carol singing competition

Udupi, 15 Dece 2012:  The Red carpet is all set to be rolled out for the inter-parish Christmas carol singing competition, at St Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, Mukamar  ground. A super lightening battle of singing competition organized by the ICYM MUKAMAR is on Sunday, 16th December at 15.00 hours onwards.

 

The competition is open to all parishes of udupi diocese. It will be the first ever competition to be held at diocese level after the establishment of the Udupi diocese. The uniqueness of this contest is that there is no age limit. Anyone including a small child to the oldest person has a chance to participate in the competitions.

 

A panel of experienced judges from the Mangalore &udupi will judge the competency of the participants. Most of the judges are renowned musicians.

As earlier announced media, the winner of the contest will receive a memento as well as cash rewards. Winner will get a cash prize of Rs 5,555, runner-up Rs 3,333 and second runner-up Rs 2,222. There will be three consolation prizes of Rs 1,111.

 

RoshanBelman- the multitalented Master of Ceremonies will be compering the show with his impeccable style.

 

Special Attraction:

Apart from singing by the contestants, there will be a special attraction in store for the audience. Dancing sensation of Mangalore India’s Got Talent finalist, Ocean kid’s troupe member Neena Rodriguez will perform some spectacular Konkani numbers.

 

Adding to it, very prominent, kudlada Rock star name fame troupe ‘Band Elysium’ led by truly artistic musician Darelmascarenhas along with his team members will be performing at the event.

 

There will be cake draw of at the end of the event. The amount collected by the sale of the raffle tickets will be utilized for this noble cause.

 

The ICYM & organizing committee members are striving hard to make this event a huge success. Preparations and planning are in full swing and organizers are working round the clock to work out various strategies.
