Catholic Stree Sanghatan Pangla Conducts Camp for Youth

Pangala/Shankerpura,26 Nov 2012: Catholic Stree Sanghatan of Pangala Parish organized a half day camp for Pre University Students of Shankerpura Junior College between 2:30 to 5:00pm.  The theme of the camp was " Love & Friendship" wherein more than 100 students attended the important session and immensely benefited. 

 

Catholic Stree Sanghatan of Pangala Parish is an very active association works towards women empowerment, their rights and help out women in need and distress and also conducts various activities to support them and live a dignified life.

 

One of their activity is guide the youth of our Parish to achieve their goals, seek their goals in the direction, their education and jobs and careers and most importantly make them role models of the society and based on this a half day seminar was held this year  " Love & Friendship.

 

 

The resource person Ms. Renita D’Souza a person who is well known in Mangalore circle for her role in guiding the youth in the right direction has been invited for the camp and she held various sessions on the main topic and made the youth to understand their role in the society on Love and Friendship, the difference between them, the problems and most importantly the balance they have to maintain between these two things.  It  was a wonderful session and all the students understood the concept clearly and pledged to be the role models of the society.

 

Earlier Rev. Dr. Leslie D’Souza Parish Priest of Pangla Inaugurated the Camp by lighting the lamp.  Presidnet Nathalia D’Souza welcomed the gathering and thanked Ms. Renita D’Souza for making it to the camp despite her busy schedule.  Ms. Lenet Fernandes compeered the entire session and Treeza Machado proposed the vote of thanks.

 

Principal of P.U.C. Rev. Fr. Vincent Coelho and Sr. Winny represented the camp and the session ended at 5pm.
