Renita D’Souza elected as the President of Bellevision-UAE

Dubai, 04 Nov 2012: Bellevision-UAE, at its General Body Meeting held on November 2, 2012 at 4 pm at Karama Hotel Dubai elected Renita D’Souza as its first lady President. Other office bearers of the Managing Committee were also chosen in the same meeting.

 

A large number of members of Bellevision-UAE had gathered for the Annual General Body Meeting including founder members, former presidents and other officer bearers as well as incumbent committee members.

 

The meeting commenced with prayer followed by welcome speech by the outgoing President Ronald D’Souza.

 

In his address, Ronald D’Souza narrated the progress that has been made by Bellevision-UAE in and thanked everyone for giving him an opportunity to lead the association for the past 2 years. He recognized and thanked the efforts put forth by  the successive committees since the the inception of Belelvision-UAE which eventually got recognition through ‘Sadhan Puraskar’ conferred on Bellevision-UAE recently by Little flowers of Mukamar Parish. Ronald also thanked his committee members and sponsors for dedication and cooperation rendered to Belelvision-UAE during his tenure as the President. In his motivational speech he requested people to come forward and work for the association and take ahead the objectives set forth and assured his support and cooperation.

 

Manoj Dsouza, the Vice President for the tenure of 2010-12 presented the annual report followed by the finance report by the outgoing treasurer Gerald Mathias.

 

In one of the most significant exercise, the General Body  evaluated the activities undertaken by the outgoing Managing Committee during its tenure between 2010-2012.

 

The important part of the Annual General Body Meeting was the formation of the new Managing Committee. The election to the new Managing Committee was conducted by Valerian Alva, Ex President of Bellevision-UAE.

The new President of Bellevision-UAE, Renita Sonali D’Souza has been a member of Bellevision for last 10 years. She was a student of St. Lawrence High school, Moodubelle, who had topped the School in SSLC Board Examination. Apart from academics, Renita has been a versatile  sports person especially in Volleyball. She has been also actively involved in cultural activities. Renita had served as Secretary of Bellevision-UAE in the past. Currently, Renita resides in Sharjah with husband Gerald Mathias and daughter Gianne Eva.

 

The outgoing Managing Committee members formally handed over their responsibilities to the newly elected members.

 

All members were given an opportunity to give their feedback and valuable suggestions for the improvement of the functioning and conduct of various activities in the future.

 

 

The Annual General Body Meeting concluded with new President, Renita D’Souza addressing the gathering. While accepting the responsibility of leading Bellevision-UAE as its first Lady  President, she made an appeal to the support and cooperation from all the office bearers and members of Bellevision-UAE.

 

Valerian Alva compeered the entire event.
