Udupi: Hore Kanike on the occasion of Silver Jubilee of Hotel Kidiyoor

Udupi, 07 February 2012: As part of the renovation and re-establishment of the Nagagudi and Nagamandalotsava and other
religious programs of Hotel Kidiyoor which is celebrating its Silver Jubilee, a huge Hore Kanike procession was conducted for the occasion of the Sarvajanika Mahasantharpane, on Monday. In this procession from Jodukatte to the Kidiyoor Hotel, many associations and organizations,thousands of devotees and admirers participated with great enthusiasm.

 

 

 

This huge procession was inaugurated by Krishnapura Mutt’s Shree Vidyasagara Theertha Swamiji at Jodukatte. On this occasion the owner of the hotel Bhuvanendra Kidiyoor and the members of his family were present. This event reminded the Hore Kanike of Shrikrishna Mutt, as the procession included drummer dance, Yakshagana costumes, Kilu horses, Kangeelu dance, Orchestra, Nassik Band, tabloes, the members of various associations and the Bhajana groups.

 

In the procession MLA K. Raghupati Bhat, Entrepreneur Pramod Madhwaraj, Former MLA U.R. Sabhapathi, BJP Jilla President Udaya Kumar Shetty, D.K. Fisheries Federation President Yashpal Sharma, Entrepreneur Nadoji G. Shankar and others had participated.
