Manipal: Tax Planning & Investment Workshop

Manipal, 26 January 2012: Finance Forum of Manipal Institute of Management organized one-day workshop on “Tax Planning & Investment” on January 24, 2012. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. G. K. Prabhu, Registrar, Manipal University and the event was presided by Prof. Ramakrishna Chadaga, Director, Manipal Institute of Management.
 
The workshop was started with invocation by Mr. Srinivas Hegde, Coordinator, Finance Forum followed by a welcome address by Prof. Ramakrishna Chadaga. Prof. Ajay Shah, Coordinator Finance, gave a brief introduction about the various activities and events organized by Finance Forum.

 

 
CA Muralidhar Kini, Secretary, Udupi Branch of ICAI and also the workshop coordinator addressed the gathering by giving an over overview of workshop stating the goal of the workshop for the wealth maximization.
 
Dr. G K Prabhu delivered inaugural address saying that Tax planning is an important element in wealth maximization. It cannot be done so easily. He also said Finance Forum of Manipal Institute of Management has taken an initiative in serving the society through educating the people from this workshop.
 
The inaugural function was followed by a technical session by CA Muralidhar Kini, who dealt about the tax planning aspect of the workshop by providing an overview about the different clauses of Income Tax act. Mr. Harish B, SEBI registered Investment Advisor talked about different investment avenues which helps in tax planning thatin turn enhances the wealth.
 
Mr. Shreekara Holla M S, Coordinator, Finance Forum delivered the vote of thanks for the function.  Ms. Prathibha Patel, Member, Finance Forum was the Master of Ceremony.
