Moodubelle: Sports Day at Jnanaganaga PU College, Nellikatte

Moodubelle, 07 Jan 2012: Sports Day was observed at the Jnanaganga  PU College, Nellikatte on Friday, January 6, 2012. Gregory D’Silva, Physical Training Director, SMS College, Brahmavara and winner of Zilla Rajyotsava Prashasthi was the chief  guest  for the inaugural function. He inaugurated the Sports Day by bursting the balloon. The programme was presided over by Prabhakar KS-President of Jnanaganga PU College and Secretary of GIC Cooperative Ltd who hoisted the sports flag.  Ms. Lalitha-member of Belle Grama Panchayat , Principal UL Bhat, Subramanya Bhat-Maths lecturer of the PU College  and college staff were present.

 

 

Speaking to the students after the inauguration of the sports meet, the chief guest Gregory D’Silva in his message said that along with education, sports are very important in developing personality and health. Students should develop their sporting talents and achieve success in higher level of sporting competition.

 

Principal UL Bhat welcomed the guests, Mrs. Ambika compeered the programme and Raghu, Physical Training Director of PU College proposed the vote of thanks.  Varun Acharya, sports secretary of the PU College administered the oath to the athletes.
