World Consumer Day Observed in St. Lawrence Composite PU College

Moodubelle, 23 March 2010: The world Consumer Day was observed in St. Lawrence Composite  PU College on Monday, 15th March 2010 at 2 pm in the college hall. The programme was conducted by Dikshit, a student of the 9th standard. The programme was presided over by Fr. Paul Sequeira, principal of the Composite PU College.

The Director of the Consumer Forum of Moodubelle, Mr. Herald D’Souza welcomed the guests and the students. The Chief Guest of the programme, Mr. Leeladhar Kamath spoke on the caution that the consumers should take while accepting goods or service for a price. In his speech, Fr. Paul  emphasised the need to educate the consumers and explained how the consumers are cheated at the market. Ms. Mallika Shenoy, the Secretary of the Consumer Form proposed the vote of thanks.  The members of the Consumer Forum presented three short skits highlighting the consumer awareness.
