Suratkal: "Rangachavadi" Mangaluru under the auspices of Subhasitanagar Residents Welfare Association Suratkal organized Rangachavadi annual festival program at Suratkal Bantar Bhawan.

 

Film producer Dr. Sanjiva Dandekeri lit up the lamp. After that, he spoke, senior theater worker Kishore D. who is receiving the Rangachavadi award. Shetty is an inspiration to thousands of artists. It is the merit of all the artists of our Tulunad that they got him. Kishore Shetty has always helped the marriage of poor girls and the financial difficulties of poor families. He deserves this award. This action of the organization is commendable," he said.

 

Rangachavadi Award-2024 was awarded to veteran actor Lion Kishore D. Shetty on the stage. After receiving the award, he said, "I am the artist of my team, without them I am nothing. I have done nothing charitable. Helping the suffering is God’s service. This is what my parents taught me. I accept this award with great joy. Such an award has increased my responsibility even more," he said.

Girish M Shetty Kateelu, the owner of Shree Developers, a businessman, continued, "The Rangachavadi organization started by Bala Jagannath Shetty to recognize theater artists is progressing successfully today. He said that the work of such an organization which is recognizing artists and patting them on the back is commendable.

Poonja, businessman Jayaram Sheikh, president of Suratkal Bantar Sangh Lokiah Shetty, organizer of Rangachavadi organization Bala Jagannath Shetty, Chitra J Shetty and others were present.

Later, a Tulu mythological play "Shani Mahatme" composed by Navneetha Shetty was performed by Shree Lalitha artistes headed by Ganalahari and Lion Kishore Shetty.
