Mumbai: BSKB Association organizes ‘Krishna Vesha’ competition for the first time

Mumbai, 27 Aug: In the Mathura famous Gokul temple in the Sion West, Goplakrishna Public Trust and BSKB Association jointly organized for the first time ‘Krishna Vesha’ competition.

 

Dr. Ramadas Upadhyaya Renjala, head of the Pejawara Matt Mumbai inaugurated the competition by lighting the lamp. The priest of the temple Ganesh Bhat performed the pooja.

 

On this occasion Praveen Bhjoa Shetty-Presideent of Bantara Sangha, CA Ramesh B. Shetty-Honorary Treasurer, Nalyagutthy Prakash Shetty-Vice Presdient of Jnana Mandira Samiti, J.C. Kumar Shetty-Senior Businessman, Shridhar Rama Murthi, Ajay Pandya, Deepak Shivatthaya-Pesdient of the Krishna Vesha Competition Committee and Pilinje Vinodini Rao were present on the dais. 

 

“Seeing the children with Krishna vesha is like seeing Krishna in this world itself. Children are the true images of God. I am blessed by seeing God in children” said Suresh Rao.

Nearly 300 children participated in this competition. The competition was conducted throughout the day. Children were divided in the category of from 2 months to one year; from one to two years; two to three years; three to five years, five to nine years, nine to twelve years; and twelve to fifteen years. According to categories the competition was conducted in separate rooms under the guidance of Pradeep Kumar Kalkura. Vishwanath Petri, P.B. Chandrhas, Pranhakar Belwai, Bhaskar Suvarna Sasihithlu, Satish Kanajar, Sharada Ambeange, Lakshmi Heoor, ShbhalakshmiAiyyar and Kala Srinivasan were the judges. 

 

The annual Shri Krishna Janmashtami in the Gokula temple is being celebrated on Monday, August 26 and Tuesday August 27. There are various programmes ending with Mosaru Kudike, Shri Krishna Leelotsava, Vitla Pindi and various cultural programmes.
