Bangalore, 24 Aug: St. Joseph’s School hosted its highly anticipated Annual Science Exhibition, SCIPLORE, on August 24, 2024, under the theme “Innovating the Future.” The event showcased the remarkable scientific temperament and creativity of the students.
Dr. Anant R. Koppar, CEO and Managing Director of Kushagramati Analytics, was the chief guest for the event. The exhibition was also graced by the presence of Principal Rev. Fr. Rohan D’Almeida, Finance Officer Fr. Roysten Pinto, Vice Principal Sr. Sheena Joseph, academic coordinators, and the Vice President of the PTA, Mr. Kamal Govindraj.
During his address, Dr. Koppar emphasized that curiosity and innovation are key drivers of technological development, and events like SCIPLORE play a vital role in shaping the scientists and innovators of tomorrow. Principal Fr. D’Almeida spoke eloquently about innovation, using the acronym DICEE (Deep, Intelligent, Complete, Empowering, and Enhancing life) to illustrate how true innovation should be approached.
Students from classes 4 through 11 presented a wide array of science and math projects, with a focus on how Artificial Intelligence can contribute to a better and more sustainable future. The exhibition featured interactive demonstrations, allowing parents and visitors to engage directly with the projects. A particularly popular attraction was the dark room setup, which simulated a forest environment to highlight the importance of “Caring for Our Common Home.”
As part of the school’s decennial year celebration, parents involved in research and sustainable innovations were honoured. Additionally, Aschelle Rodrigues of Class 10 was felicitated for having her article published in the American Journal of Student Research in the field of Biology.
Overall, SCIPLORE was a resounding success, leaving everyone inspired and excited about the future of science and technology.
