Bantwala: Dinesh Gundurao, the district in-charge minister paid a visit to Ammunje, Gudinabali Aladka, Pilipet, Navoor, Aneja Tiruvu, Ajilamogaru and listened to the problems of the victims in the low-lying areas along the banks of the Netravati river which were damaged by the natural calamity.

District Collector Mullai Mugilan, Assistant Commissioner Harsh Vardhan, Tehsildar Archana Bhat, T.P.EO Sachin Kumar accompanied the minister and provided additional information.

After talking to the media, the minister said that the work will be done to provide compensation to the victims of the molestation by the neighbours. A case has been registered on the land where the victim lives as kumki land, and the case is before the Collector, I have told the Collector to settle the land issue as soon as possible and give the land.

If the problem is solved, government subsidy will be given to build the house. He said that this year, this part has been flooded six times in a row.

The government has ordered to give a subsidy of Rs. 1.25 lakh to the victims who have lost their houses due to natural calamities. It has already been decided to increase the amount from 6,500,000 to 50,000 for the damaged houses.

During the previous government’s tenure, there were many flaws in the subsidy scheme that was given for complete house damage due to natural calamities, so we have made a change after it was found that the government subsidy was being misused. He said that arrangements will be made to build houses for those who have lost their homes using the subsidy provided by the government and the grants provided by the corporations.

In Aladka, the victims demanded permanent compensation during the Minister’s beti. We are experiencing neighbor problem every year. But so far we have not got a permanent solution. The affected families requested the minister to identify another place and build a house.

On this occasion, former Minister B. Ramanatha Rai, Corporator Vinayaraj, Municipal Member Abubakar Siddique Bantwala Block Congress President Balakrishna Anchan, prominent Sudarshan Jain Panjikallu, Padmasekhar Jain, Mayilappa Salyan, Police Inspectors Ananthapadmanabha, Shivakumar, Revenue Inspectors Vijay, Janardana, And Officials from various departments were present.
