Bantwala: Thieves steal cash worth lakhs of rupees from temple

Bantwala: Thieves entered a temple by breaking the door and stole cash worth lakhs of rupees. The incident took place in Mudundugodu village under Bantwala rural police station.

 

A complaint has been lodged with the police regarding the theft of a gold necklace worth 1.40.000 thousand from the Durgaparameshwari temple at Karenki in Mudunadugodu village and approximately Rs.2000 from the offering box inside the temple.

A total of assets worth 1,42,000 rupees were stolen.

 

Thieves broke into the sanctum sanctorum by opening the back door of the temple and stole the gold karimani saree worn by the idol of the deity in the sanctum sanctorum and the money in the box.

 

A case has been registered at Bantwala Rural Police Station, Police Inspector Shivakumar and SI Harish Beti have investigated.
