Udupi: UPCL give donation to Indoor Stadium at Ajjarakad

Udupi, 26 August 2011: Udupi Power Corporation Limited, Yelluru has donated Rs 5 lakhs towards the development of the newly built Indoor Stadium at Ajjarakadu Udupi District. UPCL Vice President Mr. V Ramachandra Bhat has handed over the cheque to Deputy Commissioner of Udupi District Dr M T Reju, who is President of Udupi Indoor Stadium Development Committee.  Out of the four shuttle badminton court, one court is named after UPCL Court in the Indoor Stadium.

 

 
 
It may be recalled that the H’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka Mr. D V Sadananda Gowda has inaugurated the Indoor Stadium on 20th August 2011 at 4 PM. During the occasion, Udupi MLA Mr Raghupathy Bhat has thanked all the donors. The H’ble CM has honoured Mr. Sudarshan Prasad, Senior Manager (Projects) UPCL during this occasion.
