Catholic Sabah Mount Rosary Church elects dynamic leader Elias DSouza as its President

Udupi, 31 Jan 2024: Catholic Sabah Mount Rosary Church Unit elected dynamic leader Elias D’Souza as its President for the forthcoming year 2024-25.

 

 

Mount Rosary Unit Catholic Sabah has the distinct credit, as one of the most vibrant and active units not only in the Kallianpur Deanery but also in the Diocese for the past 35 years, since its incorporation in the parish in the year 1989. One of the fast expanding parish housing about 650 plus families embracing urbanisation and development as people from all corners preferring to make Santhekatte – Kallianpur their home, especially during last two decades.

 

 

All the pious parish organisations are fully engaged and contributing in different ways for the growth and welfare of the parishioners and Catholic Sabah rightly at the forefront as the external face of the community, in the surrounding. In the past, the unit has sent best leaders to the Varado and diocese too as the trend continues, the incumbent President of the Udupi Pradesh Mr Santhosh Carnelio hails from this parish.

 

 

The unit held its election for the forthcoming period 1st April, 2024 to March 31st 2025 in Mini Hall of the parish on Sunday 28th January, 2024 under the supervision of Mr Louis Fernandes as Election Officer and Mrs Celine Colaco, (both from Thottam) as the Observer. Mr Elias DSouza who led the unit about five years ago in 2019 -20, a qualified Engineer and Civil Contractor, deservedly chosen for the coveted post and Maria Wilma Rego as General Secretary and Tolbert DSouza as Treasurer.
