Leadership development training workshop held at Milagres College, Kallianpur, Udupi

Udupi, 01 Oct 2023: Leadership makes an individual confident and also helps in team management. Leadership plays a crucial role in everyone’s life especially in the life of the graduate students as they will be stepping towards their career soon.
Milagres College, Kallianpur always concentrates on the overall personality development of the students and takes the initiative to build their personality as per the requirement of the corporate sectors.
National Service Scheme (NSS) in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Udupi and Rotary Udupi conducted the leadership development training workshop in the college today to develop leadership skills among the volunteers.
Rtn. Hemanth U Kanth, Youth sponsor director and project sponsor was the guest of honour, JCI Sen Sadaananda Navada was the trainer, Rtn. Deepa Bhandary, President, Rotary Udupi, Rtn. Shubha Baasri, Secretary, Rotary Udupi, Rtr. Thanvi Vishista, President, RAC Udupi, Rtr. Ansh Kotian, Secretary, RAC Udupi, Rtr. Arjun Rao, Project Chair RAC, Udupi, Rtn.Padmini Bhat, Rotaract Chairman, and Rotary Udupi were the guests.
At the beginning of the training, ice-breaking activities were conducted to make the students attentive and some games such as building a tower with the help of paper, chart making, etc. were conducted that taught students teamwork, communication, decision making, and concentration which a good leader needs to posses. Furthermore, the trainer says that Life is a journey between birth and death, what ultimately comes along with us is the lessons that we learn and the people we earn. He also adds that we should be a good citizens and boon to the country. He concludes the session by quoting the example of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam who is an inspiration to all the youths.
Dr. Jayram Shettigar, the IQAC coordinator addressed the programme where he said that a leader should possess vast thinking. Mrs. Anupama Jogi and Mr. Ganesh Nayak, the NSS (National Service Scheme)officers, Mr. Karthik Nayak, Department of Commerce, and Mr. Nikhil D’Souza, Department of Physical Education were present.
Dhanya K Hebbar of the second BA proposed a vote of thanks and compered the programme.
