Moodubelle: Members of St. Peter I ward celebrated ward feast

Moodubelle, 11 July 2011: St. Lawrence Church Parishioners of St. Peter I Ward celebrated their ward feast on Sunday 03rd July 2011 noon, at the residence of Paul and Gretta D’Souza. Rev. Fr. Paul Sequeira – Principal of St. Lawrence P. U. College, Sr. Davidena, Sr. Jacintha, Jacintha D’Souza - Secretary of Parish Pastoral Council and Henry Fernandes – Former President of Parish Pastoral Council joined the Gurkar and members of the ward in the celebration.
The program began with a prayer song. Juliet Saldanha – Member of the ward welcomed the guests and the gathering. The toppers: Dickson in VIIth standard and Mishel in Xth standard were honoured with complimentary gifts. Fr. Paul Sequeira spoke on the occasion and he called upon the ward members to be inspired with the life of St. Paul and adopt his message in our lives.
Jacintha D’Souza spoke and said that celebrating the ward feast gives us an opportunity to get together and also it becomes possible to identify the talents among us. Henry Fernands spoke on the occasion and conveyed the feast wishes to all the members of the ward.
Maxim Saldanha and Lilly D’Souza who were celebrating their birthday were wished by all. Children entertained with singing melodious songs. Games were conducted and fabulous prizes were distributed.
The program was compeered by Nikitha Rebello. Gracy Rebello – Gurkarn of the ward, proposed vote of thanks.

A very good activities by the Ward Leaders. God indeed lives in villages, in the hears of People and not in church buildings, because it is always empty? somtimes the lamp also is out! But see the group gathering and the sharing of thoughts. This kind of activites will give true meang to religious life. congratulations to Ward leaders and the Gurkar. | |

It is a good concept to celebrate ward fest to keep all ward members united. |
